Thanks alot ur vid and u have been of great help!
Truthfully no you don’t “need” a data plan to setup and use the web and MMS, and if you dont plan on doing alot of web browsing, txting, and Picture messaging, I would recommend getting the cheapest data plan, or none at all, however if you plan on using alot of data, then I absolutely recommend a unlimited data plan, as data fees are outrageously high these days.
Do you really need a data plan before you set this all up or can you set this up without one and get charged for everytime you surf the web and MMS?
It depends, unfortunately with a unlocked phone such as the blackjack II, if it isn’t being used on the at&t network the built in chat wont work. Now here is were providers get you, you would think a data plan is needed to use built in clients, this is not true, as built in chat clients use text messages instead of data.
do i need a data service plan to im?
so i just got internet. before, i would press the internet button by the caps/shift key and T Zones would come up. this was set up in the ‘proxy’ settings. now how do i setup T Zones when i have internet?

Yes you will get charged, I am sorry it took so long to answer I didn’t notice your Question.
Hey do u get charged for having the internet service on the phone.. Or is there a way they wont find out about..
So i did all of this, and when i go into my internet and try to go to google, a window pops up and says.. “the remote party has ended this connection” … Whats that all about ?
about the T-Mobile G1 Data Plan, I suggest you call customer service.
Is there different settings if you have a G1 data plan? I did everything exactly how you did in the video but I can’t access any webpages. Please help me out man!
Thanks!
I do not know, but following my instructions in this video you will have internet access, however if you must have tzones, I would call tmobile, they will give you the setting. I dont use tzones so I wouldn’t know.
