Though I never played the game, I remember reading in Nintendo Power that you can get trapped in a room in Secret of Evermore and have to reset your game. I think that was in the “Epic Corner” of Nintendo Power? Ah, the good old days of kicking back and reading about SNES RPGs.

“You can’t change a man… a man can only change himself.” Foreshadowing!

Apparently, “Might Makes Right” in this battle arena..along with “Fighting Spirit”..I still think “The Brave Do Not Fear The Grave” was cool, though.

And yes, more party members who we will likely never see again but they can continue their lives and not get stuck in an airship or some other character confinement space..not a bad deal, actually.

  8. NezumiTheMouse says:

i love the party member you get from the grand slam

  9. Indalecio14 says:

  11. timemonkey says:

  12. BygPhattyPlus says:

  15. somalification says:

u defintely get trapped in final fantasy 8 in disc 4 :(
anyway who played this game knows what i mean…

  16. Isuju says:

    Darth Fargo.. oh lawdy.

  17. Ledlicious says:

Ah, Glaive Castle, that was the one. When that happened to me I couldn’t bear starting over because I had done excessive grinding and had become a super-high level. I still haven’t finished that game to this day just because of that, but someday I’ll pick it back up.

I had horrid hand-eye coordination as well as a kid. That’s why I started playing video games. They improved my motor skills (or rather lack thereof) so much.

  19. Ocson says:

I like using Irenes, but sadly there’s two other blue element guys I like better

  20. Made4542 says:

    Massive party member joinage ftw!

  21. SomeGuy712x says:

Oh, man. That actually happened to me the first time I played Final Fantasy Adventure. I ran out of keys during Glaive Castle, and encountered another locked door, so I started backtracking only to find that one of the previous doors has locked behind me! I ended up having to start the whole game over from the beginning! Aaargh! Now whenever I play it, I ALWAYS make sure I have several keys on hand at all times!

  22. Ledlicious says:

I’m pretty sure you can actually get trapped in one of the dungeons of Final Fantasy Adventure. I forget which dungeon it is, but you get trapped in between 2 locked doors, and there aren’t any skeletons to drop keys.

  23. VShalak says:

You forgot to mention the Arena of the Ages from Chrono Trigger (DS)…

  24. theAmplifire says:

I actually like Irenes as a party member, though she IS a bit weak. She’s a good choice as a blue element if you need her for a boss (assuming you haven’t gotten a certain pirate yet ;O)

On another note. Sneff IS pretty much useless. Cool accent tho :P

  25. KuroiKuroudo says:

@iniudan lol thanks, you can tell it’s been long for me, sorry XD
