I think the songs with peter tosh on lead are some of the wailers best work.

  6. szczerbypan says:

sure, but peter was lead singer in this tune, that i mean

  7. TxTFamGuy1 says:

peter tosh is the vocalist yes, but bob marley is one of the supporting vocalist. and it’s not peter tosh with the wailers, peter tosh is the wailers. the wailers ARE peter tosh, bob marley, bunny ‘wailer’ livingston, they were the wailing rudeboys then the wailing wailers then just the wailers and finaly bob marley and the wailers. peter tosh has always been a wailer.

  8. szczerbypan says:

that was peter tosh with wailers

  9. rdulay says:

Popular in the Philippines in the mid-60′s they even composed a Tagalog adaptation of this song.

  10. TopshelfTom says:

While this was the first widely popular version, the song actually goes back to the 1930′s.

  11. ogvicodinmuncher says:

No, it’s not GFW. I came off the same search though.

  12. keeshond8 says:

The original and the best, I think. Thanks for uploading this.

  13. TxTFamGuy1 says:

i think dr. ring ding has the best version by far

  14. TxTFamGuy1 says:

There’s also a version by the wailing wailers with a very young bob marley singing.

  15. TxTFamGuy1 says:

It was recorded in 1964, the artist was jamaican and the record label was based in the UK

  16. MisterReadytoRide says:

It’s from UK or USA ?

  17. rockyraccoon1 says:

this is such a good version of it. goes along nicely. there’s a skatalites version beating about somewhere – it’s kinda like this.

  18. robertocast says:

I used to listen to this song when i was a little boy ( never knowing what he was actually saying).
Now, I just can’ t stop laughing, man!!
    Thanks! Thanks a lot!!!

  19. PhilBonzo says:

  21. bjkjlewalsh says:

My father had a tape with this song (among many others) on it. Classic. When I was little, I had no idea what it all meant, but would sing it loud and proud, dad would get all coy and tell me in the nicest way possible to ‘pipe down’. Being the little brat I was, i got louder! HAHA! Thankyou for the memories.

  22. etiopPajeczno says:

funny story … :d I think those situations were common not even in Trinidad ;-)

  23. sicarius55 says:

well i think the version of madness is better.

  24. lomalta says:

My dad loved this song when he didn’t know what he was saying…and now that he does he loves it even more!
